The program for the entertainment centre’s first week of operation was unveiled yesterday, with tickets also going on sale for some of the shows.
Anderson will appear on Saturday August 25 with his show Wilarious.
Other performances during the week to September 1 include Dr Seuss’ The Lorax, a screening of the Oscar-winning movie musical My Fair Lady and a concert featuring indy songstress Gossling, best known for her contribution to 360’s hip hop song Boys Like You.
The Cube’s team leader Chelsea McLaren said the program was designed to have diverse appeal.
“We wanted a cross section of the community to come and engage with the space,” Ms McLaren said.
“So we’ve programmed for young kids with music and a puppet show, for the older demographic, our seniors, we have a classic old film and we have music and comedy for everybody else.”
Anderson is hosting Gruen Sweat which is analysing marketing of the Olympics on ABC1.
Tickets for his and Gossling’s shows went on sale yesterday with Ms McLaren saying there had been solid interest for the performances in the 410-seat theatre.
The Cube’s opening week of celebrations will follow an invitation-only unveiling on Friday August 24.
Ms McLaren said interest in hiring The Cube was reflected in the venue being unused for only three days in October with Seniors’ Week celebrations and Albury-Wodonga Theatre Company’s version of The Vicar of Dibley slated for that month.
