The club celebrates its centenary this year and Dunn has become the first club member to win a champion of champions event at regional level.
Dunn, 40, has been the greenkeeper at Cobram for the past seven years.
He started his road to success by defeating Steve Tatnall 25-8 in the club championship.
Tatnell moved to the area from Melbourne, where he won two or three club singles titles at division one club Heathmont, along with a group singles.
The champion of champion singles were hosted by the Finley Bowling Club.
Dunn had a comfortable 25-6 first-round victory against Numurkah’s Seigfried Seiter.
It was a tougher assignment in the second round when he defeated Berrigan’s Rick Bradbury 25-23.
In his semi-final, Dunn had a 25-17 success against Tallygaroopna’s Lindsay Muston.
The final was against Nathalia’s Ian Bolton, with Dunn prevailing 25-14.
The Central Goulburn Murray regional final was played at Tatura against Shepparton Golf’s Mitch Sidebottom.
Dunn was behind all game and trailed 20-15, but he picked up three shots and then two to level the score at 20-20, before drawing another three on the following end.
He was holding two shots for game on the next end, but his opponent trailed the jack to collect three.
Sidebottom then held game on the next end with two shots.
But with his second last bowl, Dunn sat the shot bowl out and moved the second enough to hold two shots himself.
Sidebottom’s last bowl dropped short and Dunn won 25-23.
The Victorian championships are at Bendigo from April 18-24.
