Albury mayor Henk van de Ven said the plan outlined how the ground would be upgraded to realise its full potential.
“In developing the draft master plan, we've worked closely with local sports clubs and other key stakeholders and now we're seeking further input through a public exhibition period,” he said.
The total cost of the redevelopment is estimated at about $9 million and would take up to three years to complete once started.
The major funding contributors to date are the federal government with $4 million and Albury ratepayers who will provide $3.4 million.
A further $1 million is being sought through the NSW ClubGRANTS program.
Two community information sessions will also be held at Lavington Oval on March 9 at 1pm and March 12 at 2pm.
