Anti-police slogans and profanity was discovered at four sites in the town on Thursday morning.
A toilet block at the football oval, skate bowl, men's shed, and an AGL sign at the pondage were targeted.
Slogans including "All Cops are Bastards", "FTP" and "El Barto" were sprayed in black paint.
Senior Sergeant Doug Incoll said the incident would be costly to fix.
"I'd suggest it's someone who has probably had a relatively recent involvement with police," he said.
"There are other ways to express yourself.
"It's just a total waste of time, money, and doesn't advance what they're trying to say.

"They've also defaced a mural which someone has gone to great lengths and time to paint.
"I'm sure the artist wouldn't appreciate it."
The damage was discovered by council staff early Thursday morning.
Senior Sergeant Incoll said police were seeking information on those responsible.
"If anyone has information that could help us apprehend them we'd be greatly appreciative," he said.
"It's disgraceful behaviour and I'm sure the community has got pretty strong views on it as well."
Alpine Shire mayor Peter Roper said it was "childish, mindless behaviour", but said such incidents were rare in the town.
"The worst thing about it is someone's got to clean it up - it comes with a cost to the community," he said.
"It doesn't send a good message to visitors to the area.
'I'd appeal for people to let the police know who is involved so they can take the appropriate action and stop the vandalisation of our community."
