Hume League's 2014 Azzi medallist Nico Sedgwick has a staph infection in his calf.
"They just took a swab from the leg (Monday) and sent it away, I go back on Wednesday and have a biopsy," he revealed.
"I expect they'll cut a bit of meat out, cut out the hard lumps that are in my leg and send it away for a diagnosis.

"It's only a minor infection, I assume I'll be right (this weekend), but I still feel crook.
"I had a cut on the outside of my calf a couple of weeks ago, I've been putting up with a sore calf at training, so I just thought I'd nicked it.
"I went and got an ultrasound on Wednesday night and they said, 'there's nothing wrong with your calf, you've actually got an infection' and that night, when I got home, it started throbbing.
"I'm on antibiotics and had five days rest."
Sedgwick actually rejoined Lavington last year after six sensational years with Brock-Burrum in the Hume League.
He starred in a practice match against Myrtleford 12 months ago before COVID wiped out the season.
Speculation has been strong that Sedgwick would return to Brock-Burrum and he even trained with the Saints.
"The only reason I was considering doing that is I worked in Griffith and Tocumwal all pre-season and I just did no training, so I thought about taking the easy option and going and playing with my mates again," the roof plumber said.
"But I just ended up changing my mind.
"(Coach) Simon (Curtis) actually came and picked me up last Tuesday night and I played in that practice match and that made up my mind."
Sedgwick loves the coaching style of Curtis.
"He's not one of the blokes to ring up and say, 'where were you'? He knows footy is second and there's much more to life than just footy," he suggested.
