Minor flood warnings were in place for rivers including in the Kiewa, Ovens and King and Mitta rivers on Thursday.
Rivers were forecast to rise overnight into Friday, leading to minor flooding.
IN OTHER NEWS:
The Kiewa River may reach the minor flood level at Kiewa of 3.3 metres and 1.9 metres at Bandiana.
Minor flooding is also likely at Biggara, the Khancoban Pondage and Brigenbrong in the Upper Murray.
Whytes Road at Baranduda and Frederic Road in Leneva have been closed due to heavy rainfall with water covering the roads.
